SAMANTHA DAVIES HILTON

PRACTICE AREAS
Samantha Hilton's practice at Kenney & Markowitz L.L.P. is largely aviation defense with a particular emphasis on litigating issues governed by international laws and treaties. She also practices general commercial litigation, insurance defense, personal injury and health law.

EXPERIENCE
A litigation associate with extensive pleading, discovery and law and motion experience, Ms. Hilton has briefed and argued numerous motions before both state and federal courts.

Ms. Hilton has legal experience in both Australia and the United States. While studying in Australia, Ms. Hilton trained with a barrister specializing in commercial real estate and banking litigation. Ms. Hilton was employed by the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office before moving to the Bay Area. In addition to litigation, Ms. Hilton has had corporate experience, working as in-house counsel for a manufacturing/export company. Ms. Hilton handled all legal related matters for the company including product patent and trademark registration, EPA compliance, customs clearing and international and domestic contract negotiation.

BAR ADMISSIONS
Ms. Hilton is admitted to practice before all California Courts, the U.S. District Court (Northern District) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

EDUCATION
Ms. Hilton obtained her Masters of Law from the University of San Francisco in 2001 (LLM - International Business Law and Health Law). She also attended Monash University in Melbourne, Australia where she completed her undergraduate studies in biomedical science and post graduate studies in law (LLB; 1997, B.Sc.; 1995).

AFFILIATIONS
Ms. Hilton is an active member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the San Francisco Barristers Club and the Australian-American Chamber of Commerce.
