DONALD S. HONIGMAN

PRACTICE AREAS

Don Honigman handles a variety of liability matters for insurers and institutional clients with emphasis on aviation, errors and omissions and construction matters. He also handles insurance coverage matters.

EXPERIENCE
Mr. Honigman has participated in all aspects of civil litigation in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, and Lousiana. He has tried a number of cases to verdict before juries. He also has experience arguing before the California Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeal. He has handled enforcement proceedings before the NTSB. He has served as an arbitrator in California's judicial arbitration program as well as the Alameda County Fee Dispute program.

In addition to an active practice as a litigator, Mr. Honigman has advised carriers and insureds on numerous coverage matters and has worked on all aspects of coverage litigation ranging from coverage opinions through bringing declaratory relief actions to judgment.

AVIATION BACKGROUND
Mr. Honigman holds a Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructors Certificate (Multi and Single Engine Land- Aircraft and Instrument). He received his first pilot certificate in 1974. Mr. Honigman is also a graduate of the University of Southern California Course in Aircraft Accident Investigation.

Mr. Honigman has been an Adjunct Associate Professor of Aeronautical Sciences at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University since 1986. He teaches Aviation Law, Aviation Regulation, Aircraft Accident Investigation and Aviation Safety.

Mr. Honigman served as an Instructor in Aviation Safety at Golden Gate University in the Department of Operations Management from 1990 until 1996.

Mr. Honigman has lectured at various industry seminars and appeared as a guest on National Public Radio related to general aviation safety.

Mr. Honigman is a member of the National Association of Flight Instructors, the Lawyer Pilots Bar Association, the International Association of Aircraft Accident Investigators and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He is also a member of the Legal Services Plan of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

EDUCATION
Mr. Honigman received his J.D. from Lewis and Clark College , Northwestern College of Law in 1979. He received his A.B. from Clark University in 1976.

BAR ADMISSIONS
Mr. Honigman is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (1979), California (1982) and Oregon (1994). He is also admitted to the USDC Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California, District of Oregon, Eastern District of Pennsylvania as well as the Third and Ninth Circuits of the United States Court of Appeals.

ACTIVITIES
Mr. Honigman is on the Executive Board of the Board of Managers of the West Contra Costa County YMCA. He serves as a Division Manager for the Partnership in Youth program of the YMCA.

Mr. Honigman has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, Oceania, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. He is an avid scuba diver and triathlete.
