Stephen C. Kenney

1944-2007

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved friend and founding partner, Steve Kenney, on November 2 nd, 2007.

Steve was a superb trial lawyer, and his sense of humor and infectious laugh lifted the spirits of everyone who had the good fortune to know him.

Though Steve repeatedly was recognized as one of “Northern California Super Lawyers” by Super Lawyer Magazine, he probably was more proud of his sons, Darren and Schuyler, and wife Terry.

Steve and Kenney & Markowitz represented many prominent airlines in cases involving catastrophic crashes, including San Francisco-bound TWA Flight 843 at JFK International in 1992, Galaxy Airlines in Reno, Nevada in 1985 and, the same year, a private aircraft that hit the Sun Valley Mall in Concord.

Steve was not only an immensely talented attorney, but he was a true and dear friend to all of us at Kenney & Markowitz and to so many in the business and legal communities.

His never-ending optimism, love of life and loyalty will continue to be a source of inspiration to us all.
