PRACTICE AREAS

Kimberly I. McIntyre's practice at Kenney & Markowitz LLP is largely focused on representing commercial insurers in coverage matters and extracontractual litigation. However, Ms. McIntyre also handles a variety of contractual and tort litigation, including aviation, employment and construction defect litigation, as well as personal injury defense.

EXPERIENCE

Ms. McIntyre was an associate with the Law Offices of O’Connor, Schmeltzer & Rose in Irvine, California prior to joining Kenney & Markowitz LLP in 2004. Ms. McIntyre has more than ten years of experience in resolving insurance disputes and providing related advice. Ms. McIntyre also has extensive experience in all aspects of general civil litigation in both state and federal court, including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, trial preparation and appeals. A large portion of Ms. McIntyre’s past practice has focused on law and motion work, where she has successfully prepared and argued dozens of motions for summary judgment, demurrers, motions to strike, and motions to dismiss.

BAR ADMISSIONS
Ms. McIntyre is admitted to practice before all California courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.

EDUCATION
Ms. McIntyre received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of William and Mary in Virginia in 1992. Ms. McIntyre received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1996, where she graduated in the top 15% of her class.
